How the holidays fall in 2027
New Year's Day falls on a Friday during the school Christmas break. Easter Monday falls in late March, during the school Easter holidays; Good Friday is not a public holiday. At the end of the year, Christmas Day falls on a Saturday and St Stephen's Day on a Sunday, both during the next school Christmas break.
February begins on Monday, making that day the St Brigid's Day holiday. June begins on Tuesday, so its first-Monday bank holiday falls as late as possible. The October bank holiday, on the month's last Monday, starts October mid-term. Christmas Day falls on Saturday and St Stephen's Day on Sunday, as listed in the table. Neither public holiday moves, and the following Monday is not a public holiday.

Is Easter Monday in March rather than April?

Why is the June bank holiday later in 2027?
