Privacy

Mid-Term Ireland processes limited information when pages are requested or someone contacts the operator. This notice explains those activities, the reasons for them and the rights available under the General Data Protection Regulation.

Who is responsible

The controller is Orel Zigi, Ariel Sharon 4, Netivot, Israel, a private individual established in Israel, outside the European Union, with no establishment in the Union.

The operator is based outside the European Union. For privacy enquiries, use the contact page, which also provides the operator's email address. There is no data protection officer.

Information processed during a visit

Pages are built in advance and served as static files. When a page is requested, the host receives the visitor's IP address, page address, request time and browser identification in its logs.

The legal basis for this processing is legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f), for serving the site and operating its hosting. The operator does not export or routinely read these logs.

The countdown uses the device clock within the browser and sends no information.

Hosting and international transfers

The site’s hosting and page delivery are provided by Cloudflare, Inc., acting as a processor on behalf of the private individual who operates the site and is its data controller. To provide this service and protect the site against attacks and abuse, Cloudflare processes technical request data consisting of the requested address, IP address and basic browser details. Cloudflare may also keep short security logs. Its name, location, log retention period and, if it is outside the Union, the basis for transfers will be stated here before publication.

The operator reads messages in Israel. Transfers to the operator rely on Article 45 and the European Commission's adequacy decision for Israel, Decision 2011/61/EU, which the Commission confirmed in its review of January 2024.

Messages to the operator

The contact form opens the visitor's own email app with a subject and message filled in. Nothing is sent until the visitor sends the email, nothing is stored on the site and no form service is currently in place.

Emails sent to the contact address are received through Google's Gmail service (Google Ireland Ltd) and kept only as long as needed to answer them. The operator processes the sender's email address and message to answer the request, relying on legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) in answering reports and enquiries about the site.

The hosting provider and the email provider may process data outside the EU, and the legal basis for those transfers, including any applicable adequacy decision under Article 45, will be stated on this page before publication. Emails can be deleted on request.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

The site has no cookies, analytics or local storage used for tracking and currently has no advertising or sponsorship. It offers no accounts, comments or newsletter and includes no embedded videos or social buttons.

Fonts are served with the pages, so loading them does not contact a separate font host.

Your rights

Within the Regulation's limits, rights include access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability. In practice, requests to the operator concern emails sent to the mailbox and can be made through the contact page. You do not have to give any personal details to read the site; an email address is needed only if you want a reply. No automated decision-making or profiling takes place.

A complaint may be made to a supervisory authority, particularly in the member state of habitual residence. In Ireland, this is the Data Protection Commission.

Changes to this notice

Hosting details will be completed before the site is published. Any later change to the processing described here will be reflected in this notice.
